From Munster, Perth:
Well, it’s Summer and I’ve been back in Perth again on holiday for a little over a week now and my tan is finally starting to push through. Honest. I’ve been in the water nearly every day – feels like it’s at least 20deg here constantly. In amongst all of that fun I’ve finally found time to review my online presence and the various blog and photo upload sites I created when I was last on holiday and blogging my way through restaurants and cafés etc. For the most part they were just too hard to use which is why I stuck with Facebook’s handy “Check in” feature. That’s just not good enough for sharing decent photos with a bit of commentary and it’s time to move to the next level.
So, I’ve taken the plunge with WordPress (highly recommend it). The result is that I’m no longer using Tumblr or WordPress.com or Facebook for that matter as my primary points for sharing my love of photographing food. Instead, I’m now centralising on this new site where I’m also going to expand my photographic work over time too now I have a decent camera and the patience to learn. Collaborating along the way I’m sure with my wife and brother as always. Their support and encouragement is infectious 🙂
Only as time permits though. Between my love of all things food, my increasing interest in photography, and of course as many of you will know, the need to finish building our house I still have to earn a crust!
Anyway, that’ll do for now. I spent the day at the WA Museum Shipwreck Galleries in Fremantle taking some interesting inside shots of sunken boats and such so I need to go through them and see if there were any decent ones.
